Pteranodon sp. private collection (undescribed) is the largest known Pteranodon skull. Derived from a sister to Pteranodon ingens YPM 2594, the Jenkins skull phylogenetically preceded the AMNH FR7515 specimen of Pteranodon.
Distinct from the YPM 2594 specimen, the Jenkins skull had a smaller rounder orbit and the crest directly over the orbit was twice as tall as the orbit itself. The posterior crest did not produce a cantilevered portion posterior to the orbit. The jugal was narrower ventrally. The jawline was more strongly convex ventrally.
