Dissacus zanabazari (Cope 1881; Geisler and McKenna 2007; Early Palaeocene to Early Eocene) was traditionally considered a mesonychid, but here nests with Callistoe as descendants of the extant Tasmanian devil, Sarcophilus.

Alcidedorbignya inopinata (Muizon and Marshall 1992 Muizon et al 2015; MHNC 8372, Early Paleocene, 64 mya; scale bar is 2cm) was originally considered a basal pantodont (Condylartha) close to Pantolambda and the origin of ungulates and digging placentals. The rostrum is curved with a smaller naris. Long hooves are former claws on a semiplantigrade manus.

Metacheiromys tatusia (M. marshi (YPM 12903 holotype, Middle Eocene; Wortman 1903, Osborn 1904, Simpson 1931, AMNH 11718, 25cm presacral length) was originally considered a primate, then an armadillo and then as a palaenodont. Here the incomplete data nests this taxon with Dissacus and Alcidedorbignya, among the preprimates. These taxa were not known when the earlier workers published their findings.

Few to no teeth line the jaws, except for the upper and lower canines, which were retained. The sacrum appears odd in that only the posterior sacral ribs attached to the ilia. Only three fingers are known, all with long digging claws. Only four toes are known and these are likewise provided with strong unguals.
