Liaoconodon hui (Meng, Wang and Li 2011; IVPP V 16051; early Cretaceous, Aptian, 120 mya) was originally considered a eutriconodont mammal, but here nests between Gobiconodon and Repenomamus in the pre-mammal clade Trithelodontidae.
Liaoconodon had a wide, flat torso to match its wide, flat skull. The short limbs had short clawed digits. Like mammals, the coracoid was absent and the glenoid faced ventrally. |
