Eustreptospondylus oxoniensis (Walker 1964; OUM J13558; Middle Jurassic, 163 mya; 6m in length est.) was an early theropod first discovered in 1870.

Ceratosaurus nasicornis (Marsh 1884, Gilmore 1920, Late Jurassic, 5.5m) was a sister to Allosaurus, but had a nasal horn and longer teeth. The chevrons were quite long. Osteoderms lined the backbone.
