Archaeovolans repatriatus (IVPP V12444, Czerkas and Xu 2002) This Early Cretaceous bird had a controversial beginning as Archaeoraptor liaoningensis). Zhou and Zhang (2002) considered the specimen another Yanornis.

Yanornis martini (Zhang & Zhou, 2001, STM9-52, Aptian, Early Cretaceous) was originally considered an ornithurine bird. Here this toothed bird with a long neck, large hands and small head nests with the similar Archaeovolans and Yanornis.

Changzuiornis ahgm (Huang et al. 2016; Early Cretaceous) is very much like Yanornis but with a longer rostrum and longer pedal digit 4, traits that appear in derived taxa like Ichthyornis and Hesperornis (below).
