Wantzosaurus elongatus (Lehman 1961, Steyer 2002; Early Triassic) was considered a trematosaur, close to another narrow-skulled taxon, Trematosaurus. Here it nests with Capitosaurus, close to Trematosaurus.

The rostrum becomes longer and narrower in adults. Or is this a phylogenetic change? The tabular contact the squamosal.

Trematosaurus (long rostrum) This specimen nests closer to Wantzosaurus and is only convergent with the other specimen listed as Trematosaurus.
