Rhamphorhynchus megadactylus (gemmingi) (von Koenigswald 1931) TM 6920/21, no. 52 in the Wellnhofer catalog, Late Jurassic, ~155 mya, was a sister to no. 38.
No. 52 was a quarter larger than no. 38. The naris was smaller than the small antorbital fenestra. The dentary was not longer than the rostrum. Fewer teeth were present. The humerus was gracile. The manual unguals were only slightly deeper than their penultimate phalanges. The pubis was very short, the ischium was broad, round and deep. The prepubis was not much deeper.
This was the most derived Rhamphorhynchus and the last in the lineage.
