Germanodactylus? cristatus? SoS 4006 (formerly PTHE No. 1957 52, No. 31 in the Wellnhofer (1970 catalog) was considered a juvenile Pterodactylus micronyx and a juvenile Germanodactylus cristatus. Here No.31 was derived from as sister to another tiny pterosaur, SoS 4593 (No. 9), and it phylogenetically preceded yet another tiny pterosaur, SMNS 81775.
Distinct from No. 9, the skull of No. 31 had a shorter rostrum, but a longer pre-narial rostrum with a shorter antorbital fenestra. Larger teeth erupted from the dentary. The pterygoids were broader and the ectopalatines were slightly larger.
The sacrals were broader with stronger sutures to the ilium.
The pedal unguals were aligned, as in Ornithocephalus but the unguals were slender.
