Malerisaurus robinsonae (Chatterjee 1980) was found within the skeleton of the phytosaur, Parasuchus. After partial digestion, it was completely disarticulated. Malerisaurus was originally considered a facultatively bipedal prolacertiform eosuchian, equally at home in the water or in the trees. Malerisaurus has not yet been entered into the reptile matrix, but in comparison to Prolacerta, the skull and neck of Malerisaurus was relatively larger. The pectoral girdle was relatively smaller. I switched metatarsals 3 and 4 because in other prolacertiforms mt4 was larger than mt3 and doing so simplified the PILs.

Jaxtasuchus salomoni (Schoch and Sues 2012 - Middle Triassic) is the only armored protorosaur and it also had an antorbital fenestra. Originally it was considered a sister to Doswellia based largely on the armor. Moving Jaxtasuchus to Doswellia adds 14 steps. Moving it to Prolacerta adds 7 steps. Only a few bones are known for Jaxtasuchus and these bones are largely unknown in Doswellia. Part of the postorbital appears to be another bone (in green). A mandibular fenestra was assumed due to the concave angular, but it is likewise concave in Pamelaria. Gastralia were present.

Here Jaxtasuchus is derived from a sister to Boreopricea and is a sister to Pamelaria and Azendohsaurus.
