Scutosaurus karpinskii (Amalitzky 1922) Late Permian ~255 mya, 3m long was a large basal pareiasaur derived from a sister to Deltavjatia.

Bradysaurus baini (Seeley 1892) Late Permian ~255 mya, 2.5m long was a large pareiasaur derived from a sister to Anthodon and preceded Arganaceras, Sclerosaurus and Elginia, a basal turtle.

Pumiliopareia pricei (Broom and Robinson 1948) Late Permian ~255 mya, 0.5m long was a small pareiasaur derived from a sister to Anthodon. The dorsal ribs were wider than in other pareiasaurs, convergent with turtles.

Nanoparia luckhoffi (Broom 1936, Brink 1955, Latest Permian) is considered a dwarf pareiasaur. Here two species present slightly different palates, both attributed to the same species. In the LRT Nanoparia nests basal to the Bradysaurus- Scutosaurus clade.Above is a drawing of the Nanoparia armor. Arrow points anteriorly.
