Micromelerpeton, Kermitops and Georgenthalia

Georgenthalia clavinasica (Anderson et al. 2008; Early Permian; MNG 11135) originally nested at the base of the amphibamidae, but here nests with Amphibamus. The naris has a lateral extension into the lacrimal. The jawline is strongly curved.

Kermitops gratus (So, Pardo and Mann 2024, Early Permian, USNM 407585) nests with Georgenthalia and Dissorophus within the Temnospondyli in the LRT.

Micromelerpeton credneri (Bulman and Whittard 1926; UMZC T.16, 296mya) originally Branchiosaurus credneri was considered a dissorophid temnospondyl, but here it hests at the base of fhe frog clade (Doleserpeton to Rana) within the Lepospondyli between Amphibamus and Microbrachis.

Apparently the intertemporal and supratemporal are fused in this genus. Dozens of fossils are known at several ontogenetic stages. External gills are visible in some subadult specimens. The postcrania in subadults is poorly ossified (below).
