Luopingosaurus imparilis (Xu et al. 2023, Middle Triassic, IVPP V19049, at least 46cm long) was considered a pachypleurosaur. Here it nests as a transitional taxon between Anarosaurus and Honghesaurus (below) +mesosaurs + thalattosaurs) + (Wumengosaurus + ichthyosaurs) distinct from the pachypleurosaur lineage. Here this lineage is called Parapachypleurosauria.

Honghesaurus longicaudalis (Xu et al. 2022, Middle Triassic, IVPP V30380) was considered a pachypleurosaur, but here nests as a transitional taxon between Anarosaurus and (mesosaurs + thalattosaurs) + (Wumengosaurus + ichthyosaurs) distinct from the pachypleurosaur lineage.
