SMNS 12352 (Late Triassic) is known from a rostrum and incomplete dentary. Also associated is a partial manus with elongate radiale and ulnare (see below). A recent paper by Knoll and Rohrberg (2012) CT-scanned and rapid-prototyped a partial skull (SMNS 12352) first described by von Huene (1921). Found in 1908, this Late Triassic specimen was originally considered a second specimen of Procompsognathus. Knoll and Rohrberg (2012) considered the skull an indeterminate basal crocodylomorph, close to, but distinct from Saltoposuchus. Here SMNS 12352 was derived from a sister to SMNS 12591 and was basal to Hesperosuchus.

Imaginatively restoring the rest of the skull based on the phylogenetic analysis and continuing lines from broken skull parts creates a rather plesiomorphic crocodylomorph skull.

Apparently no manus of a basal croc is complete. Therefore every image adds to our knowledge, if only in bits and pieces and a few guesses. Apparently mc3 is the longest. Metacarpal 5 varis in length. Some digits are gracile. Others are robust.
